Even though embarking on their first-ever European adventure, Crystal Palace are learning at a rapid pace. Without key players like striker Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the Eagles left Dublin with a comfortable win that all but guarantees them a place in the Conference League qualifying rounds.
A further three points in their upcoming fixture against Finland's KuPS should be enough to seal straight entry to the knockout stages, especially following a previous setback against Strasbourg.
Fringe Players Grasp the Opportunity
This occasion provided a platform for some of Palace's fringe talent to shine. Christantus Uche, making only his second start since joining on loan from Getafe, opened the account with a clinical goal. Forward Eddie Nketiah added a second, scoring for the second game in succession.

The match was as good as over eight minutes before half-time. Yeremy Pino meandered past a series of weak challenges before calmly slotting a shot past goalkeeper Wessel Speel to make it 3-0.
After the break, manager Oliver Glasner seized the opportunity to rest key individuals like Kamada and Wharton. Replacement Romain Esse came close to scoring his first touch, but saw his shot blocked.
The youngster was incredibly unlucky later on, seeing one attempt strike off each posts before being clasped on the line. Uche then blazed a sitter of a chance, showing there is still scope for development in his game.
A solitary worry for Palace was a second-half injury to Justin Devenny, who limped off. This allowed 17-year-old striker Benji Casey to earn his first-team debut, rounding off an otherwise positive night for the visiting side.
